If you are coming intending to buy a pup that can go with you be prepared to pay CASH.
It is important to note that my puppies are not handled a lot---I don't advocate it for the following reasons. Confidence is the big thing with pups, without it pups stress. For this reason they are left alone rather than held/handled. They get lots of "human contact" while I feed and clean or am just checkin up on them, they love this contact since they are in control of it, their feet are on the ground and they can move around my touch as they choose. Doing it this way, they race up to me with great excitement, tails wagging and eagerly await "play time with me".
Don't think, the pups will "cower" with this method, just the opposite. They get confidence from each other in the litter, from their surroundings, from the consistency of my care. That is why when a new pup is handed off, I remind buyers to leave the pup alone while it gets accustomed to your house, smells, sounds and other pets. Let the pup do this in their time, do not rush it in your time! Handling and loving works on people, NOT on pups, it just adds to more stress. Why is stress such an issue? simply this, when stressed, pups don't eat, that leads to hypoglycemia followed by lethargic behavior, when run down that can open them up to catch a virus. Just like humans, when run down/over stressed will be likely to catch a cold. Another reason for me not overhandling them is that I don't know what kind of home they will go to. If you are a working family I have done you no favors by holding that pup throughout the day! I like pups to settle into their new homes and move into the routine of that home. I hand you a "clean slate" this pup has NO expectations, you are then free to set up your play time to work within your family activities.

When mixing breeds, I ONLY do the Schnauzer/Poodle it is important to me to choose females and males that will compliment each other. They should be similar in frame and size so the pups come out balanced. This adds to the overal "cuteness" and beauty of the pup. Of course this is true in purebreds also. Because I have many females and males, I can always make good choices for the particular dog I plan to breed.
SCHNOODLES FIRST GENERATION Poodle/Schnauzer cross is consistent and seems to incorporate the best of both breeds. I breed two purebreds that are similar in size so I get pups that are well balanced as adults. The Schnauzer head is DEFINITELY the strongest part. It is in every one only not quite as "blocky/square" as in the Schnauzer breed. The poodle refines that down so it is a smaller frame and a little more chiseled. There is NEVER any doubt that Schnauzer breeding is in these pups! The bodies of both animals are similar but the Poodle tends to "lighten" the frame of the "chunk" Schnauzer so you get a lighter dog. There is always a longer leg from the Poodle rather than the short Schnzuzer one. They walk like a Schnauzer, their hair always starts out stringy, and very fine often standing up and seemiinly unruly ( use creme rinse) then at maturity it comes in a soft wave. Not the wiry of the Schnauzer or the curl of the Poodle. When you see photos on the net or even see one when you are out, you will see that they can be BIG dogs depending on the size of the parents. Usually the cross is a regular 15-18 pound Schnauzer with a Miniature Poodle. Thus you get the large offspring, that can weigh 12-15 pounds depending on how "chuncky" the Poodle is! I like to do the smaller version by using a full sized TOY male poodle. This can bring them down in size from 7-10 pounds. They have the "Poodle endurace" thus are great "jogging or walking" dogs which makes them quite versitile for a family pet.
Many buyers are surprised at the "total quiet and laid back personality" of these pups. Some say, "gee it is so shy" NO NO, it is just quiet---that is what these pups are all about. They have lots of "get up and go" love to play and currently are the most popular family pet going, they don't need entertaining, they love to just lay quietly in your lap or on the floor. They are not barkers and are not likely to come running and jump all over you when you come to visit, but then that IS one of the reasons you are looking at this cross!

Norma, About a year and a half a go we got a 7 pound 8 month old male black/with white male puppy from you. We would like to add a testimonial to your website.....Charlie is the most amazing dog we have ever had. He is very calm, healthy, incredibly loving, smart, handsome, great with kids and other dogs.........PERFECT! We would NEVER get a dog from any other breeder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Norma! I just want to drop you a line to give you an update on Smedley – first, to my amazement, you were right on with your weight estimation for him, at 10 months old, he now hovers between 14 and 15 pounds – I still can’t believe my tiny little pup got that big! Really, though, he is the perfect size for our family – he holds his own not only with our kids (now 14, 5.5, and 4 yrs old), but also with our 50 lb Queensland Heeler! He’s small enough to be a true lap-dog, but big enough to not seem tiny and fragile! He’s smart and feisty and loves me to no end – All in all, Norma, he is wonderful – I am totally in love with him, as is the rest of the family and I am thankful every day that I was able to bring him home with me! I recommend your website and your puppies to everyone I know and I sincerely hope that when one or more of them are ready to get a schnauzer, schnoodle, or poodle, that they will check with you FIRST! Thank you again, for this lovely pooch – *Laurie

Gucci is a very affectionate and playful pup. He is fully trained, knows a few tricks and will play fetch
longer than you can. He will give you a kiss upon command, and stay balanced up on his toes, anything
for a "treat." He loves to walk outside, ride in the car, play tug-of-war, and be playfully chased.
He will sit on your lap wherever you land, or put his head on your feet, just to be near you.
Everyone says Gucci is the "happiest dog on the block!" and he really is - one look at his loving expectantly
playful face will tell you all you need to know. Neutered age 2 (dob 7/17/06) a perfect 7 1/2 pounds,Gucci

It really isn't that hard to make a decision! Use the same rational as when buying anything that will be with you for a very long time. One of the most important things is that the dog SIZE must meet the needs of the family. If you have another dog, you should try to get a dog that will NOT be too far out of proportion to that one. They WILL play and romp which could cause injury to your new dog, unless your other one is permanently outside. By the same token, little wee dogs do NOT belong in a family of small children. It is not fair to the dog or the kids who both have a natural instict for play but neither can make "good decisions" about how rough. As gentle as you KNOW your kids will be with a pup, I have heard stories over and over that prove "well meaning" kids still have accidents. Often people say, "I want the pup to choose me"--with this attitude you may well overlook the BEST pup for you! A more realistic approach is to tell me what your expectations are and what your lifestyle is, since I have been with them since birth I can suggest a pup that will suit you the best. It is natural to be attracted to a certain color, although many times that choice will change when a "look" or "personality" catches your eye and wins you over, also try not to lock yourself into a certain sex. Most breeders will tell you that males make the best and most fun loving affectionate pets.
